Here are some little tidbits of info after 5 weeks of play:
- Matt's Montreal Voyagers is the only team who is still undefeated, amassing 2 visitor wins along the way
- Rob's Southey Slammers are 4 - 1, and are tied with JPL's Oromocto 4-Horsemen as the league's highest scoring team with 704pts
- Sabu's Drumheller Daredevils is the only team still looking for their first win
Division Recap - Week 5
West Division:
Matt's undefeated Montreal Voyagers are in 1st place with a comfortable 4 point lead on Crystal Lake in the standings.
Clay's Camp Crystal Lake Killers have been performing quite admirably this year and are fresh off a last second heartbreaking loss in Week 5.
Marina's Carrot River Bugs Bunnies started hot, but have cooled off slightly and are looking to get back into the win column this week.
Brian's Flin Flon Aerial Assault has only 1 win so far but has not been losing their games by much, don't count them out yet.
Central Division :
This division seems to be a 2 horse race.
Rob's Southey Slammers are one of the league's highest scoring teams with 704pts and sit atop the division at 4-1 and 10 pts in the standings
David's Carnduff Carnies are right on Rob's heels, also at 4-1, and only 1 point behind with 9 in the standings.
Mike's St. Joseph Altar Boys are at 2-3 and need the 2 top teams in the division to start floundering so that he can make a move.
Sabu's Drumheller Daredevils are the only winless team at the moment, but they are picking good players, just getting outscored, they could still make a move, but like Mike, they need some help as well.
East Division:
Easily the tightest division in the league.
JPL's been on a tear of late and had he not played a bye week player in Week 5, he may have had a commanding lead on the rest of the division. As it stands, he is all alone in 1st place thanks to a couple of visitor wins and his share of the top scorer in the league also at 704pts.
Garts' Waskesui Warriors (who are the defending champions) have been struggling as of late, luckily they are in the tightest division so a little trip over the starting line shouldn't hurt his chances to try and repeat as Champions.
Susan/Carl's Dawson City Salary Caps 2.0 have been having a bit of a rough go this season. When asked, Susan simply exclaimed "It's all Carl's fault!". Everyone agrees with that and Susan should start getting the team back on track.
Commissioner Darcman's Kinookimaw Kingpins have been floundering most of the year as one of the lowest scoring teams. Somehow they found their mojo this past week and are looking to keep it going in hopes of taking the lead in this tough division.
Hopefully you guys enjoyed this article, feel free to let me know below and I'll continue to do them. Good luck in the rest of the season.
