Week 1 Starting Lineups here.
1 x QB, 6 x any combination of RB/WR (max 4 RB), 1 x K, 1 x ST/D, 1 x HC for a total of 10 players
Both teams need to have at least 1 designated starting Canadian player. Visiting team is the ONLY team that can use a Kicker as their Canadian player, Home team CANNOT designate a Kicker as their Canadian (they can play a Canadian kicker, they just can't use them as their designated Canadian). Either team can use a QB as their Canadian. No one can designate their HC as a Canadian.
As per the voting results of item#6 in the past AOM (found on the site under 2023 AOM Minutes), there is now a deadline of midnight before kickoff of the 1st game of the week for the home team to post their lineup. This opens up a couple of grey areas that I will attempt to clarify here:
1 - the time zone used for "midnight" will be the Saskatchewan time zone. This means that the current deadline for JPL in Oromocto is 3am the morning of kickoff of the first game and is 11pm the night before kickoff of the 1st game for Sabu in Prince George and David in Cali. Because there is no time change in Saskatchewan, these deadlines will fluctuate for those 3 owners, but never for any Sask owners. This means that it is the sole responsibility of those 3 owners (or any owners who are out of the province travelling or whatever) to know their own deadlines and post their lineup before the deadline. All decisions as to if a lineup was posted on time will be based upon the time stamp of the messages.
2 - If the home team does not post their lineup by midnight SK time, the visiting team then has no limitations on who they are able to start in their lineup. As outlined above, in the event that it is midnight here and no posting has been made by the home team, and the visiting team notices and submits their lineup, but unbeknownst to them the home team was in process of posting their lineup, whichever posting is time stamped first will be the accepted lineup. I know this may be confusing to some, but I fully understand it and am ready to explain in detail any decision that I may need to make in the future.
3 - If you are the home team, please make sure that you post your lineup BEFORE Midnight. Just because you were logged into the message board and typing your lineup, but it took you 5 extra minutes to type it out because you got distracted or had to make a change is not an excuse. You need to actually hit Post before midnight. So please allow yourself a few extra minutes.
4 - As always, both teams can tinker with their lineups and make changes as they see fit well after the midnight lineup deadline, as long as they post them on the message board. In the event that you are making changes to your lineup, a text sent to your opponent is appreciated.
This new rule will take some time to get used to I am sure, and on one hand it may be too early, but on the other hand might completely eliminate the last minute lineup submissions that do tend to happen from time to time. This new deadline is on a 1 year trial basis and we will revisit it at the next AOM.
Thank you.

Good luck!
